Willie Green is currently the Senior Director for Campus Engagement for the Duke Alumni Association, where he leads efforts for all the alumni affinity groups, i.e,. Duke Black Alumni (DBA). Prior to joining the Alumni Association office in May 2016, Mr. Green served as Associate Director of Diversity Initiatives in the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He joined Fuqua as the Assistant Director of Diversity Initiatives in September 2008, and was promoted to the Associate level in June 2015. At Fuqua, Mr. Green focused on increasing the representation of underrepresented groups through recruitment, admission, and matriculation to business school. His target populations included ethnic minorities (African-Americans, Latino/a-Americans, and Native Americans), women, military veterans, and members of the LGBTQ community. Mr. Green also helped spearhead efforts to reinvigorate Fuqua's recruitment of African students by coordinating events in Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
Prior to his work at Fuqua, Mr. Green served as Senior Admissions Officer in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at his undergraduate alma mater, the University of Michigan.
Mr. Green earned his B. A. in psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, and his M.B.A. at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He resides in Durham, NC.
