John Robinson serves as the Assistant Dean of Information Technology and Facilities at Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment. His responsibilities include leading the schools IT initiatives for both main campus and the Duke Marine Lab where his team provides support for faculty, staff, graduate students and research units. He also maintains a liaison role to FMD project managers for ongoing facility related projects.
John joined Duke in 2005 and worked within various teams for OIT prior to joining the Nicholas School in 2013. He is also currently a member for various committees, including IT Council, OIT Extended Staff, Green Roof and Orchard Workforce (or GROW where he is the staff advisor) and leads the Nicholas Schools Emergency Management Team.
John has three wonderful daughters and lives in Raleigh with his wife Becky. In his off time he enjoys the outdoors and sporting activities in either participation or watching his daughters play soccer.
