David Mixon is senior business manager at the Office of Information Technology. He has oversight of OIT Finance and Service Based Reporting as well as finance operations for OIT's operational managers. David helps them best utilize the resources available at OIT and Duke. His group works closely with central Duke University offices, such as the budget office, procurement, and accounts payable, to serve as OIT's primary point of contact for central business and financial functions. Service Based Reporting identifies, analyzes and reports service measures that help the organization make timely decisions, improve accountability and demonstrate value, and helps OIT managers identify areas for improvement based on information gained from metrics.

David has been at Duke for over eight years, beginning his Duke career in OIT's Finance office as a senior financial management analyst. Since then he has performed the roles of Sr. manager of business support systems, project and consulting services, and administration.

Before Duke, Mixon held various financial and IT positions at Saint Leo University. This included more than 10 years of service as the Bursar, Director of Budgets and Accounting, and Director of Information Technology.

David holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
