Bio:
Amy Powell is the Associate Dean of Students/Director of DukeReach where she leads a team of case managers that coordinate student support services and provide connections with campus departments as well as outside agencies and providers. Originally from Northern Virginia, Amy transitioned to Student Affairs in 2008 after working at the Tisch Brain Tumor Center in the Duke University Medical Center since 2000. Amy received her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and doing just about anything outside (in the warmer months!).
