Bio:
Jane Walbrun is the Associate Director of Duke Benefits with responsibility for Duke University and Health System's five self-insured plans; three HMOs, and two PPOs with an annual budget of $300 million. She has been watching over health care costs, monitoring compliance, and working with the wellness and disease management partners at Duke for over thirty years. Jane has also spoken at many national conferences on the innovative programs that have kept Duke's healthcare trend well below local, regional and national trend for years. Jane has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master's degree from North Carolina State University and works at Duke, so she is qualified to cheer any team with a winning record in any given year. She has also completed her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation.
