Bio:
As the Director of Financial Training, Gwen and her colleagues provide training solutions for financial and operational systems and processes across Duke University and Duke Health System. Financial Training's partners with functional owners to deliver solutions supporting the institution's use of SAP focusing on financial reporting, reconciliation, activity directly touching the ledger (such as journal entries), operational disbursement functions including payroll, accounts payable functions, invoicing, procurement, and a variety of expense reports. Additionally, Financial Training offers 5 certification programs for employee who work in financial areas. Prior coming to Duke, Gwen worked for a small consulting company as a training consultant working with private, public, and government organizations to improve their operations.

Gwen holds a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke (1995). She is an avid Duke sports fan and enjoys traveling particularly visiting National Parks with her husband (Mike) and son (Jack).
