Bio:
Kurt H. Cumiskey is Associate Director of Development at Duke University Libraries, where he is responsible for major gifts, foundation grant applications, endowments, and planned giving. He has held positions of increasing importance at Duke University Libraries Development since 2008. Prior to Duke, he was Assistant to the University Librarian at NC State University; visiting faculty at Eszterhazy Karoly College in Eger, Hungary; and faculty in the English Department at Daytona Beach Community College. He has served on the editorial board of College & Research Libraries, speaks at national conferences on topics related to development in academic and research libraries, has served as a mentor for early career library development officers, and has published in the profession, including recently co-authoring a survey on library development for the Association of Research Libraries.
