Bio:
Evan Widney currently serves as the Manager for Accreditation in the Office of the Provost at Duke University. In this position, Evan manages the planning, evaluation, assessment and overall strategy for accreditation compliance across multiple schools at Duke University and related off-campus instructional sites. He provides guidance on policy recommendations, program design, assessment, evaluation, and communications related to Duke's educational programs and related accreditation compliance issues.

Evan originally joined Duke in 2012 where he supported the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences' Office of Assessment in the study of student learning outcomes and general education assessment. He holds degrees from West Virginia University, including a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Higher Education Administration. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education through the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, with a research interest in technology adoption and the use of educational technologies to support effective teaching and learning. Outside of his accreditation related job duties, Evan enjoys volunteering on Duke's campus with the Academic Advising Center as a pre-major advisor to undergraduate students.
