Bio:
Laura Panebianco is Associate Director, Benefits in Duke University's Corporate Human Resource department. As Associate Director, she serves as plan manager for the University's five health plans that provide medical and pharmaceutical coverage to over 74,000 members. She is also responsible for Duke Health Integrated Practice's (DHIP) benefits program administration and member experience. She supports special initiatives within Duke Benefits, is involved in long-term benefit planning, and
facilitates the Total Rewards session for Guide to
Managing at Duke.

Prior to joining Duke in 2019, Laura worked in benefits consulting for USI Insurance Services, where she was an Assistant Vice President in their Employee Benefits practice. She first began working in the human resource field in 2000 and has been focused on employee benefits since 2002. In additional to USI, her previous employers include Aon and Wells Fargo.

Laura graduated summa cum laude with a M.S. in
Organization Development and Human Resources from The Johns Hopkins University and has a B.S. in Business Administration from Duquesne University. She holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation, Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) designation, and active Life, Accident and Health or Sickness, Medicare
Supplement, and Long Term Care licenses in North Carolina. She is a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS) and the North Carolina Business Group on Health (NCBGH).

In her spare time, Laura enjoys being with her husband, two children, and family dog. She is an avid reader and tennis player, and enjoys being outdoors.
