Bio:
Shana Lassiter serves as Assistant Dean of Academic Programs and Student Affairs at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy. As Assistant Dean, her focus is on preparing students for lives of leadership, civic engagement and public service. Prior to coming to Duke, she served as an Assistant Provost in Columbia University's Faculty Advancement office, providing stewardship and programmatic support for the University's Faculty Diversity and Inclusion portfolio. Previously, she has served in leadership and advisory roles in health professions and STEM education at The City University of New York (CUNY) and Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine, with a keen focus on supporting students from historically underrepresented groups. Dr. Lassiter earned her doctorate (EdD) in health education from Columbia University's Teachers College, master's degree in clinical and community psychology from Georgia State University and bachelor's degree in psychobiology from Binghamton University, SUNY.
