Bio:
Sheri Matthews serves as the Associate Dean for Finance and is the chief financial officer for the Nicholas School of the Environment where she advises and assists the Executive Vice Dean in the daily financial operations of the school and collaborates closely with the academic and administrative deans, Division Chairs, and all operational units on campus in Durham, NC and at the Duke University Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC. She provides direct oversight and leadership of all business and finance functions to maximize resources available to the School through sound financial management practices, implementation of strategic plans, and short and long-term financial planning to reach the school's goals and further its mission.
