Bio:
Lynn Sutton, PMP, serves as Assistant Dean for Clinical
Research Initiatives and Alliances in the Duke School of
Medicine (SoM). She works closely with the Vice Dean of
Clinical Research (VDCR) and other leaders to implement
new initiatives in clincial research across the SoM and
in partnership with other Duke University entities. She
has over 20 years of program and project management
experience in academic medicine and pharmaceutical
research and development, with the majority of those at
Duke University SoM. Prior to joining the VDCR Office in
2018, she was the Director of Operations for the Duke
Clinical & Translational Science Institute.
Lynn is a founding member of the Duke Project Management
Community of Practice which has grown to more than 600
members. She also serves as Chair of the Higher Education
Community of Practice, North Carolina Chapter, Project
Management Institute.
Lynn earned a B.S. and M.A.Ed. in Science Education and a
M.S. in Geology from East Carolina University.
