Bio:
Jason leads the Academic Programs and Student Affairs
team in the Sanford School of Public Policy. This team
supports degree programs and public policy students in
the undergraduate PPS major, three (soon to be four)
professional master's programs, and the PhD programs in
Public Policy and Environmental Policy. He also manages
school-wide tasks related to course evaluations, schedule
planning, adjunct faculty hiring, and assessment among
other things.
Jason has been working in higher education for over 20
years at both public and private institutions and has
professional experience in admissions, advising, academic
and co-curricular assessment, and data analysis. Prior to
joining the Sanford School at Duke, he spent 11 years at
NC State University, the last six of which were spent
overseeing curriculum, academic programs, and scheduling
for the Poole College of Management.
He has a Master of Public Policy from Duke Sanford and
also holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Penn State
University and a bachelor's degree in political science
from Kenyon College. Jason's professional and research
interests have primarily focused on higher education
policy, access and equity, and student success.
