Bio:
Diontre Earl is the Director of Development for Duke
Science and Technology (DST). He works closely with the
Assistant Vice President for DST, faculty across campus,
and Alumni Engagement and Development colleagues to frame
fundraising priorities and opportunities, engage alums
and friends, and secure gifts to support scientific
discovery, innovation, and translation. Duke's commitment
to the sciences is clear, as it is a primary pillar in
the most extensive comprehensive fundraising campaign in
the university's 100-year history. In addition to DST,
Diontre is the fundraising liaison for the Natural
Sciences Division of Trinity College of Arts & Sciences.
In this role, he identifies, cultivates, and develops
strategies for donors interested in supporting Trinity's
Natural Sciences departments.
Prior to joining the DST team in 2021, Diontre's
expansive career in higher education fundraising included
over ten years of direct fundraising experience. His
advancement career began at his alma mater, The
University of Akron. Most recently, Diontre was the
senior director of Major Gifts at Penn State University's
College of Engineering, cultivating a portfolio of major
and planned-giving prospects and managing a team of
fundraisers.
