Bio:
Tanisa Ann Little graduated from Spelman College with a
BA in Economics in 2002. Upon graduation, she began
working at Duke University and currently serves as the
Manager of Financial Strategy in the Office of Financial
Planning & Analysis, a division of Duke Finance. Through
her various roles at Duke, she has had the opportunity to
work with and learn from top senior leadership in the
fields of financial reporting and higher education
management. She attended the Duke Fuqua School of
Business Cross-Continent Executive MBA Program, where she
earned the degree in 2008. Currently, she is a CPA
candidate with the NC State Board of Certified Public
Accountants.
A native of Durham, NC, she is an active member of the
historic White Rock Baptist Church, where she primarily
shares her talents with the communication ministry. In
addition, she is a member of the National Black MBA
Association and volunteers with the youth arm of that
organization, Leaders of Tomorrow. She is also member of
the Spelman College National Alumna Association, Duke
University Alumni, the Institute of Management
Accountants, and the Magic Express Tennis Club. Tanisa
is a self-professed foodie and enjoys cooking, developing
new recipes, and visiting local restaurants. Most of her
spare time is spent with family and friends, reading, and
volunteering with local tennis tournaments sponsored by
the Durham Parks and Recreation and the Durham-Orange
County Tennis Association.
