Bio:
Caitlin Shaw is the senior director of volunteer
engagement with Duke Alumni Engagement and Development.
She serves as chief volunteer engagement officer and is
responsible for developing and executing a best-in-class
volunteer engagement and recognition program that
supports Duke's goal of engaging alumni and parents where
they are now and that inspires them to share their time
and talents with the Duke community. In this role,
Caitlin works with the Campaign team to develop the
plans, policies, and data governance to ensure that
Campaign engagement targets are defined and met
successfully.
Prior to joining Duke Alumni Engagement & Development,
Caitlin served as director of alumni engagement at Duke
Law School. Caitlin's career at Duke began in the
Division of Student Affairs as a member of the student
involvement team within University Center Activities and
Events. Other prior roles include serving in the Office
of Alumni and Development and the Office of Residence
Life at Bowling Green State University.
Caitlin holds a B.A. in communication studies from
Northwestern University, an M.A. in college student
personnel from Bowling Green State University, and an
M.B.A from Elon University.
