Bio:
Brie Russell is the Senior Director for Strategic Regional and Alumni Engagement at Duke University School of Medicine (SOM), where she oversees operations of the Medical Alumni Association and regional engagement strategies for Duke Health Development and Alumni Affairs (DHDAA). In this role, she is responsible for developing programmatic frameworks, drafting impactful leadership remarks, managing faculty selection and preparation for campaign events, and driving alumni and donor engagement in key regions. With almost two decades of experience in constituent engagement and fundraising program management, Brie has previously served as Director of Strategic Events for DHDAA and Senior Assistant Director of Special Events on the Duke University central development team. Brie holds an M.A. in liberal studies from Duke University, a B.A. in communications and public relations from Marquette University, and a certificate of distinction in creative writing from the University of Oxford.
