Bio:
I have a natural inclination for finding effective
solutions to business processes. I thrive on building
structure and efficiency to complex functions while
helping teams and organizations operate at their best.
I am currently the Chief Administrative Officer for Duke
University's Department of Neurobiology, where I oversee
finance, operations, and administration to support our
research and teaching missions. My career has taken me
through various leadership roles at Duke, MIT, Boston
Children's Hospital, and the Whitehead Institute for
Biomedical Research, where I've managed multimillion-
dollar budgets, implemented lasting process improvements,
and built high-performing teams.
What drives me is making a real impact whether - it's
streamlining financial policies, mentoring teams, or
finding better ways to get things done. I enjoy
collaborating with others and tackling challenges with a
mix of strategic thinking, adaptability, and a bit of
humor to keep things in perspective. With a background in
biochemistry, accounting and an MBA, as well as a Master
Certification in Project Management, I strive to bring
both analytical and big-picture thinking to every role.
Looking ahead, I see myself applying the DLA learning and
experience to continue driving innovation, supporting
teams, and shaping the future of operations and finance
at Duke.
