Bio:
Megan Phillips is an academic medicine administrator with
over 14 years of experience specializing in neurology and
supporting clinician-scientists in balancing research,
education, and patient care. As the Chief Administrative
Officer for the Department of Neurology at Duke
University, Megan oversees financial, operational, and
strategic initiatives to drive departmental growth and
excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.
Before assuming her current role, Megan held multiple
leadership positions within Duke University's Department
of Neurology, including Senior Business Manager and
Financial Management Analyst, where she provided
strategic financial insights and administrative
leadership. Prior to joining Duke, she gained auditing
and financial expertise at McGladrey & Pullen, LLP,
performing risk-based financial audits across various
industries.
Megan is a member of the North Carolina Association of
Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, and the American Academy of
Neurology. She holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and
a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
