Occupational Summary
Work Performed
Enhance undergraduate education by helping students integrate academic and co-curricular life.
Oversee key administrative operations of the advising center.
Provide strategic input on advisor development and lead orientation/training programming.
Support advising transitions for students shifting between Trinity and other schools at Duke (e.g., Pratt).
Assist the Director of Advising with program leadership, implementation, and oversight.
Train and onboard Senior Quad and Quad Advisors.
Serve as primary liaison to DUSs to ensure strong transition-to-major processes.
Coordinate the logistics and systems of major declaration each semester. Collaborate with academic departments and campus partners on student support initiatives.
Contribute to advising assessment and continuous improvement efforts.
Provide backup supervision and support across advising units.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Masters degree required.
Experience
5+ years of experience in academic advising or student services.
